Residential units for short-term and long-term rent on the high bank of the Kama River, a 40-minute drive from the center of Perm, a large city in the Urals region.
This project involves placing 30 cabins for family leisure on the territory previously used for agricultural purposes.
These lands, neglected during the last decades, had time to overgrow with young mixed wood and shrubbery. We cut through the dense and impervious brushwood to position the houses and to ensure they have good views, and the remaining greenery serves to isolate the houses visually from each other and forms intimate glades near each of them.
The houses fall into three categories depending on their placement on the territory and the profile of the user. The houses are produced based on factory-ready spatial modules that form the building’s thermal envelope. These are supplemented with developed porches, terraces, units for storage of equipment and personal belongings, which allows efficient provision of comfort necessary for a long-term stay.
Type A. Two-level units located in the highest part of the plot, which is also the furthest removed from the bank of Kama. The placement of the bedrooms and the accessible roof in the second floor level permit providing the best view opening.
Type B. Units supplemented with a small children’s room/bedroom have well-developed terraces and additional space for storage of sports equipment and toys; these are intended for family leisure.
Type C. L-shaped units in the center of the plot are the most compact of the designed types of houses. They are positioned to provide necessary privacy and required view opening despite dense arrangement.
