The simplicity, clarity, and dynamics of traditional windmills inspired our creative research, while the temporality, rotation, pressure of oil making influenced the project's essence
The building's volume is defined by its roof, a sculpture-like ceramic shell span across all indoor and outdoor spaces and functions
Utilizing timber beams, boards, and clay-based construction products, our building is crafted from locally sourced raw materials, blending seamlessly with its environment
Both in terms of the materials from which it is made, and in the literal sense – the guesthouse is immersed in the landscape, in the ground
The inner structure centers on a ceremonial longitudinal axis, guiding visitors from the entrance to the oil tasting and living rooms
The conceptual core of the building – the oil tasting double-height room
Overhanging parts of roof cover terraces of the guesthouse creating shaded and impressive double-height semi-interior spaces
The attic floor rooms face north, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape
